Heath and safety goes up a level
My Son who works in Canada on the snow shifting vehicles there, Whilst at work the normally wear high viz vests which are Orange in colour with a reflective white cross, As from January 2014 they are changing their vests to a Yellow with reflective white cross because,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Drivers are getting confused with,, who are workers and who are cones,,,???? This is not an April fool joke, this is a fact
You average Canadian is 5-9 and 15 stone, your average Canadian Cone is 3ft and ' cone shaped'
Go figure that one,,,

In my last job in a warehouse I was the H&S Rep for the workforce. Every one was encouraged to make out near miss reports if they thought there was any thing amiss whether minor or major. One report I made was a delivery firm which had green trailers with drivers in green tops & trousers and you could not make it up dark green hi vis vests, When they walked along the side of the trailer it was like camouflage
